What owners, admins, members, and guests can each do.

Every person in a company has one role that defines what they can do. Roles are set at the company level.

RoleCan do
OwnerFull control — billing, company settings, workspaces, members, and every board.
AdminManage workspaces and members, create and delete boards, and edit any card.
MemberCreate boards and edit cards in the workspaces they belong to.
GuestView only the boards they’re added to — no creating or editing.
Only an owner can grant the admin role. Ownership is transferred, not invited.

A person can hold different roles in different companies — being an admin in one company doesn’t grant admin anywhere else.

Common questions

Can I have more than one owner?

Yes, a company can have several owners. Owners and admins manage the company.

What can a guest not do?

Guests are view-only — they can’t edit cards, manage members or change settings.
