Companies & workspaces
How your account is organized and how to switch context.
Your work is organized in two levels above boards:
- A company is the top-level organization (your business or team). It holds workspaces, members, and a plan.
- A workspace lives inside a company and groups related boards — for example *Editorial*, *Marketing*, or *Acquisitions*.
Switching company or workspace
Use the switchers at the top of the sidebar. Your choice is remembered between visits, so you always return to where you left off. You can also switch company from the account menu.
Creating them
- Anyone can create a new company from the company switcher or Settings → Company — you become its owner.
- Creating workspaces inside an existing company is an admin action (see the Administration guide).
You only see workspaces you’ve been added to. Others may appear as restricted — ask an admin to add you.

A company is your organisation; workspaces sit inside it to group boards for a team, client or project.
How do I switch between them?
Use the company switcher at the top of the sidebar, then pick a workspace beneath it.
