Automations
Automate repetitive board work with rules.
An automation is a rule that runs by itself: when a trigger happens and the conditions match, it performs an action. Build them under Settings → Automations.
- Triggers — a card is created, moved, or changes status.
- Conditions — narrow the rule to a board, list, label or priority.
- Actions — move the card, set a status, assign a member, or notify someone.
Start with one small rule — e.g. “when a card reaches Done, mark it Completed” — then layer more on.

Common questions
Do automations run on existing cards?
No — a rule acts on events that happen after you create it.
Where do I build them?
Under Settings → Automations, as trigger → condition → action rules.
