AI assistant
Summaries, prompts, reply drafts, and suggested next steps — on any card.
The AI assistant helps you move work along without leaving a card. Open any card and you’ll find four AI actions in the details panel.
What you can do
- Summarize — get a short, plain-language summary of a card, pulling in its description, checklist progress, labels, and recent comments.
- Generate prompt — turn a card into a ready-to-paste prompt you can drop into any AI tool to actually get the task done. Use Copy to grab it.
- Suggest steps — get 3–6 concrete next steps, and add any of them to the card’s checklist with one click.
- Suggest reply — when replying to a comment, let AI draft a reply for you; it lands in the reply box so you can edit before posting.
Chat with the assistant
Open Assistant in the sidebar for a full chat. It remembers each conversation thread and honours your saved preferences, so you can plan work, draft text, or think through a task back and forth. Start a New chat any time, and revisit or delete past threads from the list.
What the AI remembers
The assistant keeps a small memory that makes its output more consistent over time. Manage it under Settings → AI → What the AI remembers.
- Personal memories are your own preferences (e.g. "prefer concise, action-first summaries"). Only you see and use them.
- Company memories are shared team context (e.g. "we write in British English"), curated by admins and applied to everyone.
- With auto-learn on (an admin setting), the assistant quietly picks up durable preferences as you work; you can remove anything it saved (marked auto) at any time.
Connect your own key (BYOK)
Prefer to use your own Claude, GPT, or Gemini account? Connect a key and your requests use your own tokens instead of company credits.
- 1Go to Settings → AI.
- 2Under Your AI keys, pick a provider and paste your API key, then Connect.
- 3That’s it — the app now uses your key first, falling back to company credits only if you haven’t connected one.
- 4Remove a key any time with Disconnect.
Common questions
Whose AI account is used?
If you connect your own key under Settings → AI, your requests use your own account and tokens. Otherwise your company’s shared credits are used. You can see both under “Your usage”.
Why is the AI turned off?
An admin can disable AI for the whole company, or your company may have run out of credits and nobody has connected a personal key. Connect your own key or ask an admin to top up.
